A Not So Quiet Day at Duxford - 30 Aug 08

Post by Pen Pusher »

With a couple of airshows down south, I though it might be quiet at Duxford and I was only going to spend a couple of hours there getting some static shots in the hangers. MH434 came out to play and then came back out again for an engine run in the afternoon. The Corsair went up twice and 'TAZ' went up a couple of times. Apart from being very warm, it was very cloudy and dark when I arrived but by early afternoon there was blue sky and sunshine although it was very hazy.

Very nice - especially like the two worm's-eye-view shots.

Not yet but I believe the engine (Griffon) problem they had is sorted and it is just a question of waiting for the paperwork clearance from the CAA.

A great set of shots, very nice.

The Spits are great, one of the things I like about Duxford is you can often see what's "under the bonnet"!
If enough power is good, & more is better, than WAY TOO MUCH should be just about right!!!
