It wasn't too bad Keith if I remember correctly, certainly not as hot as Vegas. It was incredibly windy though so had to resort to quite a fast shutter speed (1/320) to be able to get some shots that weren't ruined by camera shake.
The first shot was taken through the fence next to their ramp. There is a little museum next to where we were standing that had some interesting machines but since it was mid to late afternoon we wanted to concentrate on getting as many shots of the Neptunes while the sun was still up.
The next couple were taken in front of the cafe next to the GA area where we had a very nice lunch!
The rest were taken from the road that runs past the end of the airfield. The pilots were keeping them very low which kept us happy! (e.g shot 5!
)
One thing that I was kicking myself about was they had a Cobra there too and he flew off in the opposite direction when we were at the end of the runway! Gutted not to get a shot of it.
