A few images shot from a trip around and flight over this amazing place

Image

View over part of site which abuts Davis Monthan AFB and its A 10 fleet

Image

A host of Hercules

Image

C 141`s and B 52`s - latter often left as jigsaw components for verification by Soviet satellites

Image

C 5`s

Image

Whilst some a/c are dismantled for spares, some receive protective and /or maintenance work -eg this
B1

Image

Whilst this F 15 receives attention - in the background the camo F4 is one of 2 Historic Flight a/c which later `09 `turned up at Nellis Aviation Show - the red tailed F 4 `s are prepepared for destiny as target drones

Image

A phalanx of Phantoms

Image

F 4`s engine removals

Image

The boneyard recovers spares of all kinds

Image

Jigs from the B1

Image

Some retained a/c -
The YC 14 Boeing`s early 70`s prototype to replace Hercules - competed with M.D.YC 15 - the YC 14 ultimately contributed to the C17

Image

One of two on site F 14`s reputedly all other non museum Tomcats cut up to avoid spares reaching the Iranian Air Force models

Image

WB 57

Image

Touch of humour - staff evade questions ref F-117`s at AMARG!

Image

An evocative early evening shot

Image

A few from Pima and 162 Fighter Wing to follow - hope you find something to enjoy

Cheers

Very very good, I do like the tomcat, I went there a few years ago now, the flight over the top of it is just awesome, great photo of the C-5s as well, good to see these,
cheers for sharing them,
Rob
