DC-3 Dakota on assignment

Post by bushman »

Recently at my home airport of Richards Bay, South Africa, a newly restored douglas DC-3 was flown in to take part in a local movie production. This aircraft was beautifully restored by Flippie, Peet, Ben Vermeulen and team, and I got to get a first choice photography assignment on the day (Saturday 21 November 2010). Herewith the pics

Nice set of photos of a great aircraft. Good to see it back in the air.

Thanks for posting a nice selection - I like the paint job on the old bird.

Well, the film is called "Mr. B.O.B". It's supposed to be set in 1960s Congo.
