BBMF 'Inside the Wire'

Post by funtimesteve »

Was lucky enough to get a trip down to BBMF on Thursday. We were supposed to be able to get inside the Lanc and the fighters but as the seats were out for service that sadly fell through. However we did get inside the DC-3. Some shots from the day.

Thanks !! Brilliant photos. I am so pleased that the modern day RAF still has the skills & expertise ( & The Money) to keep these important & priceless machines flying . They are part of our history & heritage & need to be saved for the generations to come !!!
I was upsidedown in a cloud with nothing on he clock except the makers name, & a 109 on my tail.

Monty

As far as i am aware the hangars open all winter, except for xmas etc.

Theyre all in for their anual servicing checks over the winter and will stay stripped back like that for a while. The baby Spit wasn't there when i went over but all the other a/c were in.
