Historic Flight Foundation Fly Day - Paine Field, Everett

Historic Flight Foundation Fly Day - Paine Field, Everett

Postby lanemiker on Mon 25 Jun 2012, 9:36 pm

While up at Paine Field on 9 June after watching the debut of the Flying Heritage Collection's A6M Reisen, I found out that the Historic Flight Foundation was also having a Fly Day and were going to put up a few SNJ/T-6 aircraft, a couple of P-51 Mustangs and their B-25D "Grumpy". So I headed across the field to the HFF for the rest of the day. Here are some photos of the HFF Fly Day.

Later that day, John Sessions decided that he would take his Mk IX Spitfire up for a little flight time.

While I was watching the displays. I saw this guy and his pet Macaw watching planes land that day at Paine Field. I asked him about his bird and he told me that she enjoyed coming to the airport to watch airplanes. Birds of a different feather do stick together I guess...

Great set again Lance. Fantastic to see SL633 again, but even more fantastic and special to see Grumpy doing what she does best again!
