The BBMF put on another great show for the Lincs Lancaster Association today. The Members Day was as enjoyable and as well attended as ever, and rounded off with over an hours flying in lovely autumn sunlight.

Last three are spectacular. P7350 is such a wonderful machine.

Lovely photos, you must have been on the mound?
It was one of the best days flying I seen in a while tbh. The formations were lovely and tight and to see the Dak, Lanc and the fighters together was a real treat.

Think they are possibly the best in flight photos of the BBMF I've seen all year?
Good work!

Re: Lincs Lancaster Association Members Day 2014
Thanks guys, yes, it made a change to be photographing them in sunshine, first time its happened this year for me I think.
I spent the morning inside the Memorial Flight Centre looking round the aircraft and displays but wandered down Dogdyke Road before the flying started so I'd got the light behind me. Didn't go as far as the mound, these were taken from the roadside, just south of where the hedge ends.

Great stuff, just how you want them. That fighter 4 ship should be a display act at in it's own right, looks (and sounds I'm asure) fab..
You caaan't trust the system... Maaan!
Re: Lincs Lancaster Association Members Day 2014
The pictures would have been even better had VeRA stayed for this event, love the pictures of the Spitfires and Hurricanes...........
Re: Lincs Lancaster Association Members Day 2014
I have to agree with LN Strike Eagle about that mk2 (?) Spitfire...just lovely.
All the pics are super though - I do love to see them all in the air together. Too often it seems the Dakota displays on a different day (as at Duxford this September) or separately from the others.
Thanks for sharing
Chris

So do I! Quite some time ago now both BoBMF early mark Spitfires and the Hurricanes had engines with six exhaust stubs which looked so wrong. Also, the finish looks so much more authentic now.
