For the movie Dark Blue World, they had a Spitfire cockpit mock-up on top of a lorry, with the pilot sitting in it while they filmed from either the front or the sides. They drove the lorry the length of the runway while they filmed the action, the movement helping to simulate turbulence. Simple and clever.

Although, of course, they might not be doing that here!

They have all packed up and left now. Did a nice flypast after take off with some smoke.

Not the best picture, I took it from my bedroom window :lol: still good to see as they made there way back to Duxford.

Fantastic shots. Some of the best I've seen of Spitfires :up:

This does excite me even more for the film. What I really hope is that they use the original sounds. So many films dub sounds over the stock footage which absolutely baffles me. The fact Nolan is doing it gives me hope.
