I know you all thinking whats that device the Observer Corps(later Royal Observer Corps) guy is using.
Well it's a Micklethwait Height Corrector used obtain the height of the aircraft.
The bearing/angle also in conjunction to give a better indication of its location on the map on the disc below.
Bet you all are chuffed .. ha ha .
Before all fall about laughing at Ye oldie guys/ times note it was the Observers who first identified the V1 for what it was.
