TLE Bruntingthorp Buccaneers (mostly)

TLE Bruntingthorp Buccaneers (mostly)

Postby Avionics6 on Sun 12 Mar 2017, 6:54 pm

Saturday saw another TLE event, this time at Bruntingthorp hosted by the Buccaneer Group. The line up included their three Buccs, Hunter T7 XL656 and Canberra WT333. The sun managed to stay hidden all afternoon, but the daylight saw two engine runs and the after dark sequence highlight was the folding of XX894's wings, tip lights blazing. Re-enactors were available to bring some scenes to life and all seemed to enjoy the event. The rain stayed off until about 2 miles away after leaving!
Well run, with food and facilities available.... and plenty of friendly banter for good measure.

I've a few images to work through, but a quick trio as follows:

Feedback is, as always welcome. More to come over the following evenings no doubt.

I've uploaded a couple of further images that I think are worth sharing:

More to come no doubt... but I'll aim for angles not provided by others already.
Best wishes

Thanks ... still a few images to work through including different angles of the wing-folding, but this angle (of the aircraft) is one I quite liked; I've given a full resolution copy of the image to the Buccaneer group for them to use should they wish to.

... and one more wing-fold time exposure; taken as I sat on the floor.

I'd cropped half of the generator out of the shot (because it was dark and difficult to see what I was doing  ), so I've edited it to take it out completely and just lengthen the cables off-scene
