Flugausstellung P Junior, Hermeskeil

Post by Wes_Howes »

On our way to Sanicole, Mike, Pete and myself took the rather lengthy detour to Hermeskeil to visit this particular museum but boy was it worth it! Many soviet and western cold war airframes and a few other odd balls thrown in too. Unfortunately some of the fencing is rather intrusive and yet some aircraft had no fencing at all but hey ho, you can't have everything.

1) Concorde (it's only a model) Cafe - a tad expensive but pleasant service and the young lady was very patient with my "rusty" german pronunciation

Very interesting. Many of the external aircraft seem to be in very good condition, I went in the Jordanian Dak over 25 years ago, and it still looks good!

30 years since a last went there. Some of the newer exhibits were still in front line service back then. Makes me feel old. :(
Thanks for sharing.
