Bruntingthorpe TLE night-shoot 30 Sep 17

Post by wallace »

Well worth the 760 mile round trip to attend this event as the VC10 was the icing on the cake. It wasn't too nice in the rain but it gave opportunities that would not normally be available, such as being able to shelter under the wing of a VC10 "If Carlsberg made umbrellas" to quote the VC10 guys.
Having done this event twice, I very much doubt if I will repeat it as in the end it was the same shots of the same aircraft and enactors in the dark.
Thanks to Neil, the T-BAG and the VC10 crews for making it a special day.

I could not resist this one - the VC10 was fitted with an engine management unit from a VW :)

In all the years that I have been around aircraft I had, until Saturday never seen a Coffman Starter in action.

I shamelessly followed another photographer, although the addition of a TLE Photographer seems to work better

A crashed piggy and before anyone comments. I first asked two of the "grown ups" for permission and did not venture beyond the no entry signs
