I agree with John the SE5a shot is sublime The P40 shot isn't too shabby either.

Re: shuttleworth at its best
Nice one that last one, but the auster is different it seems to have a lycoming flat lying horizontally oposed 4 cylinder engine, so my question is what mark is it

From a look at GINFO, it looks as though it's an AOP 11 (or a Beagle E3) . Does that help?

XP254/G-ASCC is 'the' Auster AOP.11 - it's a hurriedly modified AOP.9; the Blackburn Cirrus Bombardier engine was swapped for a Continental IO-470, the AOP.9 spinner was replaced with that from an Airedale and it was given wheel spats, which have since been removed. It was intended to be the AOP.9's successor and appeared at the 1961 Farnborough Airshow, but failed to generate any interest. I might have to pay more attention to Shuttleworth's display calendar, the AOP.11, Mark Millar's Autocrat and (I think) Kevin Hale's AOP.6 all having displayed there recently, albeit not together.
I concur with previous sentiments regarding the SE.5 image, lovely stuff!

Lurvely! I never tire of seeing Old Warden shots, in fact these days I prefer to visit OW more than that other "corporate" place down the road.
Re: shuttleworth at its best Updated.
Thank you guys. Did wonder about the Auster myself. it just didnt look right. Anyway here is a couple more... no way as good as the first lot but hope you like them. Taken from the last display of the year in 2015, the last public airshow appearance of XH558
