TLE Photography at North Weald 28-29 Sept 2018

Post by Avionics6 »

The weather reflected the excellent line up and set ups for Friday and Saturday evening, organised by TLE's Neil Cave, working with Ollie Wheeldon, Heritage Aircraft Ltd, Weald Aviation, NWMAS and other operators on Friday evening... and Hangar 11 on the Saturday. Neil was supported by his helpers including Peter Zabek and Steve Comber ... helping direct the re-enactors to bring life to the subjects........ and a little lighting (and later smoke) for effect to close out the final event. With over 1400 images to work through, it'll take a while, but here's a pair from Friday and Saturday to whet the appetite.
... the day of Saturday's JetFest was nicely relaxed and bathed in sunshine too. A good way to spend a couple of days.

Thanks all for your comments... several more now uploaded - and I'll place a few more here.
The spitfire shot was edited using my usual workflow in photoshop, but the lighting is very much as-was. The foreground has been significantly darkened to draw the viewer into the picture - it's much brighter in reality due to the positioning of the lights... but the exhausts at the higher power setting were as seen here. Quite spectacular. I'm sure others had similar shots.

Anyway.... here's a few more:
