Newark Air Museum ~ 22Dec18

Newark Air Museum ~ 22Dec18

Postby Pen Pusher on Mon 24 Dec 2018, 1:37 pm

The weather forecast had been holding out for long sunny spells and a decent sunset but there was a bit of rain when I arrived at Newark Northgate station with a nice rainbow, the clouds rolled in mid afternoon, wind chill got up and it was trying to rain as I left Newark Northgate station. Apart from that a very enjoyable day out with new exhibits to see like the Lynx, Chinook, Puma & Buccaneer cockpit, and I do like the new cafe. Very roomy and spacious with floor to ceiling windows so I could look out over the parked aircraft as I munched on my ham and cheese toastie but it still has a bit of a new build rather than food smell to it.

Nice to hear that we've attracted some first time visitors in what has been a very busy year at Newark; lots of restoration work underway on many different exhibits - if anyone is missing some aviation 'activity' this Christmas Holiday, the museum reopens at 10am tomorrow; info in here!

Yep a nice set of pictures brian, but you'll have to pay us another visit since the your visit the lynx has sped along and is set to be fully enclosed with seats as well as possible other bits soon to follow, we are suitably proud of our new mount and the team who are looking after all three projects, thanks for sharing
