Hi,
here some shots from Amsterdam-Schiphol I took last week. Just 3 more weeks to go to get more of these shots, before the viewing deck closes early again for winter.
1
2
3
4 - veeery long exposure
5 - panning shot at night
6 - long exposure too, better than the first one I think
7
8
9
10
hope you all like them.
Comments always welcome as I'm not quite sure how to process them regarding color (cool tones or the more orange colors?)

Re: Amsterdam by night
Love the last shot, I'd go for more orange tones, to give some feel for the ramp lighting
Re: Amsterdam by night
Very nice, I'm a great fan of night shots and favour getting rid of the yellow colour casts whenever possible. The seventh photo is my favourite.
There may be a stray light or contrast issue with the some of the shots, notably the first one.
I have had to shield the lens from adjacent lights on occaisions.
Do you blank off the eye-piece viewfinder?
That stops stray light being reflected through the prism into the sensor chamber.

8 and 9 for me - splendid!

Hi guys,
thanks for the comments.
I didn't black off the viewfinder. I'm still trying to find out what's best, but I'll keep it in mind for the next time.
The reflections probably come from the lightpoles nearby. It was raining at the time, I think that also influenced the photo.
I'll try to go again in the next few weeks and see if I can get some more nice results
bye

Superb shots,
Yeah try blanking off the viewfinder, the 350D has a special tab on the neckstrap for this not sure what other makes and models have though,
Very hard to pic a fave but anything in KLM c/s is good for me!
