Boston from inside a 747

Boston from inside a 747

Had a legendary skipper, who was an ex-RAF Toom pilot, who let me sit in the flight deck for landing into Boston. Here are the results

I called the pilots from Doors 4 to see if there was any traffic in the area. They responded saying a US Airways A330 was 4 miles ahead. I made my way to the flight deck and snapped this. They'd kindly sped up to over take it for me. Quality a bit iffy as it's difficult shooting through flight deck windows

Thanks chaps. Thankfully I'm very lucky being allowed in there

Doug, 22L is 10,000ft long. Plenty enough for a jumbo

That runway does not look 10,000ft. But I'm probably wrong.

RW 27 at Boston is 7,000 ft, and no problem for a 747! (having 16 brakes has it's uses!)
