Christmas Down Under

Post by Wes_Howes »

Well this Christmas and New Year I was lucky enough to spend the time with my wife and her brothers who live in Australia. I was afforded some time at SYD and NTL to indulge my hobby and on the way home through TPE.

As you'll see, the weather wasn't always the best but it was still great to see some type/operator combinations that we'll never see here.

For my first visit I played it safe and went to the spotting park at Shep's Mound, by the control tower.

Into the afternoon, I moved around to one of the beaches on the other side of the airport.

15. Finally, I moved to the car park by the international terminal. A piece of advice if you want to visit here, it's rather expensive so maybe park at the Tempe Recreation Reserve and walk over.

On New Years Eve, I managed to sneak in another visit for the morning and thankfully the weather was much better.

Finally a few from a soggy TPE on our way home. These were taken through the windows of the terminal.

Certainly no criticism due, they're great. Thanks for taking the time to post. I particularly like the Fed Ex DC-10 shot and the Qantas retro scheme is nice too, amongst some crackers.
