Fantastic! How it should be flown, and the haunting music instead of the commentary ,far far better. If it flew like that these days no-one would complain, but alas its been dumbed down, and is unfortunately a shadow of its former self.
Don't bother running, you'll only die tired!!

Indeed, some steeper level turns and more rapid 'pitch up' manoeuvres in the VDF days, and of course the wonderful 'roller' of old performed by a practised pilot, however anyone other than those wishing to see the aircraft gone will understand why those fatigue inducing elements are no longer part of the routine.

As for 'POD's giant glider routine' well it seemed to include some noisy climbs, four wingovers with significantly more bank angle than we saw in the Finningley video, as well as a nice gear down low pass, a howling climbing turn and of course the aerodynamic braking after landing - followed by clapping from the crowd and someone acknowledging the aircraft's 'tremendous presence'.

A different display, yes, for reasons that should be well understood by now. A poor display? Nope!

Cue much shrieking and use of the usual adjectives to describe the Vulcan and those who enjoy its displays...

I was there and when she opened her bomb bay doors and we saw "Fairwell" there was a lot of grown men with dust in their eyes. I was one of them.

Little did we know she would fly again after 1993.
Life's a piece of S*** if you look at it!
