Great news re. F-86!

Still looking good for some nice bright skies for her to dance around in, too...

Glad to hear the Sabre has risen again like a phoenix from the ashes. A TF51/F86/F16 heritage flight would give the show the shot in the arm that it needs (IMO, of course).

'Trumper' on Key has a photograph of the Grace Spitfire & HAC's Hurricane XII formating on a civvie twin job - must be a photo shoot to promote Sunday's ATA duo.

As for the Sabre.... maybe someone read my comments on here  If so... THANK YOU I AM VERY HAPPY!! :yahoo:

I have been given a horrible really long day at work tomorrow (looking at 400 miles all day on the bike) so I am REALLY looking forward to Duxford now!

Will do Ace, quite relaxed time scales tomorrow so hoping the A1 and the M1 are behaving  Then it's down to Harrow in the evening to collect my mate with the navigational skills of a goldfish, back up to MK and over to Duxford Saturday lunchtime. Can someone please wake me up if I start falling asleep on Sunday

There is supposed to be a rain front passing through from Saturday night into Sunday. May be wet first thing Sunday but supposed to be clear of rain for the rest of the day.

But then again, since when have they been right

A tradition has developed at Duxford shows of late, whereby the show day must dawn cloudy, rainy and generally cold, getting progressively worse until all hope of flying has faded, before making a spectacular comeback - usually levelling out at something half-decent.

I have faith that it may start looking abysmal, but come 1pm, we'll be basking in gorgeous sunshine. I promise...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well I am home safe-ish. Have a rather large case of hypothermia going on so it's out with every single windproof, waterproof and thermal lined item of clothing for the weekend as today was hellish!! :ghost:

Shame the F-16 practised early and the Hawks so may just have a lie in to recover from today before heading over there tomorrow.

As for the weather; RIAT on Sunday, WAC at Silverstone and American Air Day at Dux... I know Turweston was a freak of nature and I never expect that to ever happen again! Look on the bright side, at least the Cat has no excuse to not turn up
