Usually because the wind isn't favourable for her to land.

Display Hawk will NOT be ready for Duxford so it's another display with a standard black airframe.

Not really impressed with the Hawk scheme this year, it's the Tucano one I want to see, especially in sunlight .

The Swordfish has also skipped to static. Still looks like a good show though.

Looking like a good show in my opinion! Shame about Swordfish, and the Hawk with it's scheme. However, like Brian, it's all about that Tucano scheme!

Don't think the RNHF have display authorisation yet, for the military registered aircraft, and Tucano due for a practice display early afternoon on Friday. I'm off down Duxford tomorrow and wall to wall sunshine is forecast and I bet nothing fly's.

Actually lots flew, JR went up in the Buchon again for what looked very much like a display routine and not the usual top sides, loops and low passes we normally get on a non airshow day. The yellow TFC Staggerwing arrived back at Duxford with Mr Grey on board and Pete Kynsey took the Nimrod up for a spin. I think the HAC Nimrod will be a no show as it has a notice on it saying it's broke. OFMC Spitfire and Mustang flew a pairs routine as well.

For any one thinking of using the train from London to Cambridge on Sunday

Please note that due to engineering works on Sunday 22 May, train journeys to and from Cambridge, Royston and Whittlesford Parkway stations and route to and from London King’s Cross and London Liverpool Street will involve replacement coach services. And wind gusting to 45mph! It's a shame the show wasn't today.

The BBC website is now showing heavy rain at 07:00 now but not really much later in the day.

The met office is showers throughout the day.

The Weather Channel is showing 30% chance of rain in the morning and only 10% in the afternoon.

Sky weather is showing no rain.

Take your pick!

One thing for sure it will be windy!

About 4 o'clock this morning I was woken up by the wind and rain passing through. At the moment outside, it's wet on the ground, wall to wall blue sky and sunshine and a bit of a breeze blowing. I'm 22 miles by A14/M11 from Duxford.

Still got my waterproofs packed though.

I'm sitting at home in Southend watching rain pour down the windows and wondering whether it's worth the effort and cost :dunno:

The various weather forecasts, including Accuweather which I find generally the best, says it will get better so I'll give it another hour or so before making a final decision.
Yesterday would've been ideal :wall:

Forecast looks pretty good in terms of sun, it's the gusty winds that I'm not liking the look of.

The rain is heading east, and has cleared this part of the country.
