As for facts you could say the BBMF website have confirmed participation as has Sally B, presumably we shall see Snafu, the Corsair, spitfires, a couple of Curtis’s, hawk, or Hind, P51 and a Sea Fury from the TFC. Possibly a couple of other Spits from resident operators at DX and a Hurricane, P51 so the makings of a display list of sorts.
For rumours could this be the year that we see a flying FW190 again and even a Me262 !!!!!

Attends it will not be a display item.

Yes, it may be slightly overpriced, yes you have to arrive half an hour before the gates open to get a 'perfect' spot on the tank bank, only to find someone has put a tent in front of you after you return form the crowded toilets. But think of what you are seeing. In no other country will you see 4 Hawker biplanes, or the P36 or such a diverse range of aircraft. It's only because people think of Legends as the best European airshow that you expect to see every Spitfire flying in Europe or genuine 109's. Think - when has seeing a single Spitfire flying over a WWII airfield ever been a bad thing? It's because we have been spoilt with such a diverse range of aircraft that you belive TFC should fork out the money to have them all at Legends. And then what happens the year afterwards when they have to find something else to wow the crowds? I've been to every Legends since 2005 when I was 8 and have never seen a need to complain.
Count yourselves lucky you are fortunate enough to be able to see what TFC has to offer.
Dragon Rapide wrote:I agree 100%. But you will never please all the people all the time. Every show has its carpers! And of course we are all entirely free to choose whether we go or not.
Since 2000 both my parents and 2 veterans make this an annual pilgrimage as i live an hour's drive from the airfield we always have a party on the Saturday night and show clips from the previous years show just to get into the party mood. At a cost of well over £100 for all of us to get in i still think its worth it. Where else can you see Spitfires, Hurricanes, P51's, Nimrods, Hawks and a whole host of other piston engined war birds at one show over a genuine WW2 airfield

The gripes about the sun are pointless since the likelihood of the airfield being rotated 360 degrees is remote and the ticket prices compare favourably with dozens of other high profile entertainment venues. And if the weather is as good as the line-up is likely to be another 40/50,000 will be there this year.
