Travelling to Duxford

Thinking of maybe going to Duxford this weekend, just wondering what the traffic situation is like?

What time would be best to try and get into the general area?

How's the car parking? Quick and easy or a total pain?

I always arrive at Duxford between 8 and 8:30 and have never had any problems getting straight onto the airfield. Coming from the Royston direction I park next to the American Air Museum. Sometimes you have to queue at the pay station but that's all.

If you want to set up your chairs/windbreak in front of the tank bank you might want to get there earlier. I don't as I go down the M11 end for the flying as its less crowded and offers you better photo opportunities imo.

Leaving after the show is like most airshows - go early or wait for the crowds to leave. If you go Sunday you should get some of the visiting aircraft leaving.
