Postby b25 on Wed 11 Jan 2012, 12:35 am

The FofTFC Blog has awakened for Legends 2012. After finishing 2011 in dramatic style with unique in cockpit footage of the Spitfire Mk XIV during display we have moved our attention on to 30th June and 1st July 2012 - reporting confirmed bookings and other news from Hangar 2 in the build up to Flying Legends 2012 as it happens.

' The Fighter Collection are delighted to confirm that The Manhattan Dolls will be making another trip from New York to entertain us all at Flying Legends 2012. The Manhattan Dolls will be performing to the Flying Legends visitors during the mornings of the 30th June and 1st July. More details later.' (straight from the TFC website) Enjoyed these last year but hope they are put in a more prominent position this year. Here is a picture of the Dolls at Duxford last year, thanks to Rob Scott who supplied the photo.

Tempted not.

Besides with more photographers in the field more space for me at the M11 end.

Perhaps they can stick some Zeppelin sheds over that side for your egos. Be much nicer without your holier than us mentality on the inside.

But on airshow days, you get perks already?
ie. FoD enclosure on the flightline, with free tea/coffee, civilised seating, toilet you don't have to queue for, etc?

Maybe the keen photographers would rather have a discount than the FoD enclosure, but I figure there must be at least as many people who prefer the enclosure. Having both would be nice, but maybe that's a "double-whammy" they can't afford?

I contacted Duxford about this and they confirmed that the 20% discount for FOD members applies "on the gate" as previously.
