Vampire Roll Out
This beautifully restored aircraft is being rolled out for invited press on 13th March and FOD members are welcome - as long as they don't get in the way!! I'll be there if I can!

Looks as though the preview is open to all - this from the IWM Duxford News:
Vibrant Vampire is rolled out
Newly conserved aircraft in the media spotlight
On Tuesday 13 March at 11am we'll be showing our newly conserved de Havilland Vampire to the media before it goes back on public display in the Battle of Britain exhibition.
The conservation of the Vampire has taken a painstaking four years. During this time, the aircraft has been completely dismantled and conserved.
The aircraft has been finished in the colours it wore when in service at No.5 Flying Training School, RAF Oakington.
If you happen to be at IWM Duxford on Tuesday 13 March, do come along and have a look at this spectacular aircraft. The Vampire will go back on public display shortly afterwards.

I think it's a shame that it won't be displayed in AirSpace, but looking forward to the roll out.

One will be there now.
Also have planned a visit to the big city on Saturday as I believe the Sopwith Dolphin is being officially unveiled in the Grahame-White hangar at Hendon on the Friday.

Always assuming I can remember where I put my 11-18mm wide angle lens for safe keeping last year.

Just what is "conserved"?? Turned into jam? What sort of language is that!

Re: Vampire Roll Out
I think you will find that the verb form of the noun conservation is conserve and conserved in the past tense.

And the conserve on it looked very nice under the cloudy grey conditions.
