the BBMF Dakota won't be coming now as its first air test with the new engine is tomorrow which is a shame as not seen it display since 2006 though it's down for the October show so I see it then.

Typical for the Vulcan to be booked for the Saturday only when I'm at work. Any idea what time she's due as I'm free between 13:45 and 15:15 so could just about manage to nip out and have a look at her if she's due between those times. Will defo be going on the Sunday for another look at the R.E.8 and Albatross D.V though.

I'll be there on Sunday probably trying not to fall asleep as I'll be arriving back from the States in the morning.

Sadly our plan of going on the Saturday saw us getting as far as Newcastle before the car exploded! There's always next year I suppose. Hope everyone has a cracking weekend.

Its happened before unfortutely - overpriming on startup and a bit of flame. Good work by the classic wings groundcrew though getting it out so quickly.

T33 had radio issues so missed its slot, real shame but one of those things.
How good did the Spitfire Ia look in that light

I really hope they can find a slot for the T-33 tomorrow, as it will be at North Weald together with the F-16's and Vampiers sheheduled for a flyby at Duxford tomorrow.

Here is the Dragon Rapide after the fire:

I wondered what the noise was about whilst I was eating my lunch  followed by silence from the commentator.

That aside, it was a good day with excellent weather and what seemed a big crowd. Anyone know how many people were there today?

wow, who saw that mustang go behind the hill? i put my hand on my head and looked on! i really thought he had lost it

Positives:
-Vulcan made way more passes than he did at duxford last time he visited
-Great flying
-Lovely weather
-Some great shots

negatives:
-Spent 2 and a half hours in the car around a mile from duxford, the organisation really needs sorting out as im sure a few missed the eagles, tornado's & vulcan

-£4.50 for a 99? and £7 for baguette, ridiculous

-shame the t33 went tech
