Anyone have any information on whether there will be some practce flying tomorrow - especially the fighter collection and other Duxford based operators?

There are some arrivals tomorrow and they usually do a practice display but very hit & miss. TFC boss man flew today.

Spit XIV & Corsair. The XIV is not in the show, he just wanted to fly it.

As you do  shame that can't be added to the list as a last minute.

The Apache flew in late last night but I've been told that one of the crew is injured and there is no backup crew qualified to fly a routine. Apache on static only.

Not worth the petrol money this year.very unimaginative,as opposed to previous years, and wanted to see the Apache. And duxford isnt exactly cheap. Roll on 2013.

The sky is blue and the sun is out and should stay out till around 1500, then broken cloud and sun for the rest of the day. Anybody else going?

Been there all week and apart from the P-51 'Frankie' and 'Miss D' formation I've seen what I wanted to see, and more, so having a rest day today. Back again tomorrow and hopefully they pull the Spitfires out of H2 again to park the Sabre at the back.

Notwithstanding the sunshine as I type, I've decided to give it a miss today. Having been to three shows at DX this season  , there's nothing that particularly makes me want to drive a 140 mile round trip

There was nothing wrong with that show apart from the damn cloud, once the Mustang landed, out came the sun! Still must not grumble, at least it was dry. Hunter/Mustang formation was great, so were the P40's and the 109/Spit.
Cheers,

Chris

I thought it was a good show even though it didn't have a line up like the last couple of years.

I really enjoyed it - but I can not remember seeing a Duxford airshow so poorly attended.
