I'm looking forward tomorrow. It will be the first airshow i'll be taking a jacket to! Hopefully we'll see less cancellations tomorrow!

A good day despite the cancellations.

The plus' - the commentary and the shifting of items that meant the display almost became gap free. The 747-87 was the highlight of the flying for me.

The negatives, the cancellations and that the Spitfires' seemed to use the display line that gets used at Flying Legends when two aircraft are displaying at the same time and were subsequently rather distant and very underside heavy.

Was that what it did yesterday too? Didn't see too well from the M11 end but certainly seemed to go a bit wonky.

Was perfect for those in the field. There is so much more scope to use all of Duxford instead of a limited area within it!

A great day at Duxford today despite some challenging circumstances. Top marks to the Aerostars for filling in later on in the day; I really feel they are an underrated item on the UK airshow circuit. Best display of the day had to be Mark Jefferies in the Extra 330, I found the display mesmerising! :hypno: And some of the bits in that B-25 display were I felt, simply, immense. It was great to see the 747 as well and it put on much more spirited flypasts than I was expecting.

I did Brian; from the FoD enclosure I saw the aircraft pointing a little more toward the hard runway than it should have been! Guessing this was the aftermath?

Normally I wouldn't photograph anything when they are that far down the airfield because of the heat haze but after the landing yesterday I followed it all the way and yesterdays looked worse than this as he ended up pointing back the way he came from.

I'm looking forward to be there tomorrow. Anyone knows how was the B-25 today? Did it fly?

It was flown by Peter Kuypers, the B-17 'Sally-B' pilot and if the sun was shining would have got some excellent top sides.

The B25 is off to North Weald tomorrow for a display Validation at 1pm so we may get to see a flypast from it when it returns.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did I not hear that this year is the pilot's first as a display pilot on the Spitfire?

The B-25 is displaying tomorrow in the show, is it not?

The way I understood it was that it was his first display season, having previously undergone training with ARCo and the BBMF, and next year he will be the 'leader' of the Spitfire display, so to speak.

I was thinking about attending tomorrow, but having read everything from today I'm not sure it's worth it. It was a pretty uninspiring list anyway I thought, but with all the cancellations I don't think I'll bother.

I was hoping the warbirds on the flightline would be parked tail-on too, but that wasn't the case from what I saw today on Twitter - aren't they normally parked facing into the wind?

Got to say, today was a bit meh. After the drama of the 747 it seemed to take an age to get to the Typhoon. The extended bearcat routine was pretty megga, though.

Wind was going straight down runway 09 as I left, but for a vast majority of the display it was coming from the north into the crowd.

All the weather forecasts had a southerly wind. Same for tomorrow.

Indeed. So if you park them into the wind, and the wind is blowing from the south, then surely they would be facing south - i.e. tail-on to the crowd?
