Is this the ill conceived love child of a Bf109 and an FW190?

Re: Flying Legends 2015
But it's not a real 109.
It was built in Spain in 1950 as a Merlin 500 V-12 engined HA-1112-M1L Buchon, c/n 139, C4K-75 - re-engined with DB605 to look like a 109.

Google Translation
Brian
Spectacular accident Sunday afternoon on the airfield of Darois. An airplane collection, dating from World War II, crashed into the end of the runway after landing, according to our information, in circumstances still unknown. The accident has been fortunately no injuries.
The accident aircraft would be the Hawker Hurricane P3351 which has already had a checkered history before being repatriated to France in 2013 as evidenced by its story told on the airfield site.

Re: Flying Legends 2015
Such a pity that she will probably not be at Legends this year after all the trouble to get around the weather last year and that spectacular mid-display arrival. This year's line-up looks sensational. The Hawk and the P.36 shall be special and a repeat of the Blenheim/Spitfire 1 formation of the other week please? Wondering if there are any other "rabbits" to be pulled out of the hat before the final display programme is set in concrete. I noted the comments about the Peashooter last year but even the small amount of flying it did was a highlight. Hopefully too last year's commentary team will be back. It was so refreshing for them to let us listen to the sounds of the aircraft interspersed with GOOD commentary at appropriate times rather than, to paraphrase, "... idle French chit-chat...". .
Re: Flying Legends 2015
Legends wouldn't be Legends if it wasn't for that French commentator chap, forget his name, you know the one...

At over 50 aircraft I'm assuming the line up is mostly complete.

White 14 Is Still awaiting its engine I believe.
Would be great if it could make the August / September events - but will certainly be a push.
Will be worth the wait when she flies!

Re: Flying Legends 2015
I thought that was the reason she was here? Being a 109E for the BoB events.
Re: Flying Legends 2015

Asked the same question on FB - looks like it's nearly there. Expect a replacement for the French hurricane maybe - no ferocious frankie this year though
