Can't see it mentioned in this thread - Berlin Express will be on the left wing of the Horsemen formation, confirmed via the pursuitaviation.com BE tracker.

To answer an earlier post, the drop tanks can be removed!

Indeed! Obviously if it meant the difference between it displaying or not, then by all means remove them, but I feel it just looks ten times better with those tanks installed!

Berlin Express is now en route, having got airborne about half an hour ago. You can track the flight here:

It will be flying aerobatics with The Horsemen, this would not be possible with tanks fitted.

I too would prefer to see it with the tanks on, but I am very pleased, like others, to be seeing a Malcolm hood Mustang at all.

Of course, if single Merlin Mustangs are going to cross the Atlantic under their own steam, there ought to be little difficulty in a twin-Merlin bomber/fighter-bomber/intruder..... please!

No.

The article clearly states that this will be at RIAT the following weekend.

Last year Legends fell on the same weekend as RIAT and the Heritage Flight was announced well in advance. Doubt the F22s will come over to the UK a week early for HF appearances at Legends

I think this is the King Air that follows the Mustang. They took off from the same airport at the same time:

Ed Shipley's been posting regular Facebook updates on the Mustang's progress as it crosses the US and Canada today, and some nice photos to boot. Isn't technology great?!

Meanwhile, not wanting to miss the hype train, there's a nice little newsy article below profiling the history of Berlin Express, the aircraft's restoration, the people behind the transatlantic crossing and the plans for its UK stay, topped off by some high-res air-to-airs that, I think, really illustrate how gorgeous an aircraft this is!

New participating aircraft added to the Flying Legends Airshow the final addition to the line-up on the 8-9 July 2017 are:
Hawker Hurricane Mk.I P2902 (debut) and Hawker Sea Hurricane Mk.Ib Z7015/7-L. That makes a storm swarm of five Hurricanes at Flying Legends!

Excellent stuff. Looks like that's the full lineup now because it doesn't say 'more aircraft to follow'.

It says "the final addition to the line-up"...
