They just added some nice and certainly NOT controversial piston engined Warbirds :)

I believe that makes 3 Hurricanes now

Isn't this the highest number of Hurricanes that will be seen at a Flying Legends show for quite some time (barring any drop outs). IFAIK it tends to only be the HAC example?

Are Friends Of Duxford members not getting 20% off the Legends show or is it different to the other two shows? I'm sure it was 20% off but not this year, but maybe my memory is playing tricks?

I've just booked my tickets and FOD are definitely getting a discount. You just need to scroll down the booking page (carefully, as the layout is not at all intuitive) to find the appropriate ticket.
nothing is confirmed at a show until its u/c hits the tarmac or it is running in for its display.....

Thanks "phreakf4" only that price that you see in the booking page isn't showing as 20% off what is also being shown as the normal Adult weekend price.
I have been in contact with Lauren at FOD and apparently they're showing the prices after the "early bird" discount which now makes sense to me, which I didn't know at the time. It doesn't state anywhere that the prices showing are "Earlybird" prices.
£53.20 for a weekend FOD pass isn't 20% less than £59.85, but £53.20 is a better saving than the £70.00 which IS the original "normal adult" weekend price.

Beware, anyone who wants a weekend ticket and hasn't got a Friends of Duxford pass, get your Legends tickets now!

The last time they put up three Hurricanes was the 2009 event - typically, since then it's either been HAC's or Jan Roozen's aircraft flying solo.

For those keeping tabs, there are now 11 Spitfires plus the Seafire III on the list.

I believe that C-model is back in the US now, she came over in 2013, and before that was part of TFC before being sold.

First time at Duxford, can't wait.

Are stepladders allowed in? I like to sit at the back in some space if possible. I've got a little two step so I don't have to battle for crowdline space.

No one check air show FAQ's any more?
Can I bring a windbreak, tent or stepladder?

You will not be allowed to set up windbreaks or tents next to the display barrier as they can spoil the view for other visitors. Please place them behind the white line on the grass area. If you need help or advice on where they should be placed please ask a member of staff. We will have to remove windbreaks and tents placed against or close to the display barrier.

Please don't bring stepladders as these can't be used anywhere on site. We will remove any stepladders that are brought to the air show.

Ah, that's a shame as I only want one so I can be happy at the back.

On another note, is it not possible to get a response here without a sarcastic response from a staff member? Yes I would have read the FAQs had no one responded, but a forum is supposed to be for conversation, right?

This site has properly gone down the drain.

And why not read them first and then ask if you couldn't find an answer.?

Im assuming the red name means you are an admin? Not the first time ive seen an completely uncalled for comment from a red. Its so uncalled for and ruins the fun for all. Can i say welcome to anyone coming to Duxford for the first time. Its a lovely show. Hopefully the grumpy old gits won't show up.

So obviously one Spit down with yesterday's dramatic incident. I've seen the videos from Fly Navy about Shuttleworths Glad having problems and the Seafire having a particularly hard landing. Has anyone seen any updates on the latter two?
