Yep.

Go on practice days though and you're fine...

It's the end I normally go to, as you get quite a few topsides, particularly from the piston engine planes as they bank round the Airspace hangar before running in.

Isn't classed as a display. Not saying it's right, just the way things are now.

I just go on Fridays now. Normal price to get in, reasonably quiet, tank bank still open. Got a very good view of the Rafale back in May

Thanks very much, is it any good for taxi shots later in the afternoon ?

Come off the A14 just past Huntingdon (junc 24) and off the roundabout pick up the A1198 to Royston, admittedly not a dual carriageway but it is a quiet road and as straight as a die, takes you direct to the A505 Royston bypass, it takes you past Little Gransden, Bassingbourne and Fowlmere. Check it out on google maps, it's the only way I go to Duxy these days

That does look like a nice alternative end to my usual thrash along A14/M11 - coming from Royston can you still turn right into the museum site itself to park (assuming you are early enough and there is space!), or are you forced along the road to turn left into the officers mess?

It's OK later in the afternoon for side on taxi shots as long as you get a spot at the front, it's also quite good for landing shots (providing they're going from E to W).

That would be up to the American owners if they want them moving out of the hangar.

I doubt they will have the space, especially as much of what was the old jet pan has been lost due to the new crowdline arrangement.

Jet pan crowd line is not changing. Where would they park the MiG and Vampires?

I've never encountered any problems myself (entering right off the 505), but then  having said that, I usually arrive at Duxy for about 7:30 - 8:00 on average

Haven't been to a Duxford show inside for many years now. Just wondering where is the best place to stand now with the new flightline? I'm mainly after topsides of the aircraft and landing/ take off shots if possible. Also what time do the car parks/ gates actually open? Want to be one of the first in to make sure i get the spot i want on the flightline.

Does anyone know if the mass spitfire flypast will be rehearsed on Friday and if so what time?

There will probably be individual Spitfire flights on Friday. They don't do a rehearsal for the Balbo at Legends.

Do you think much will be arriving tomorrow? Forecast is pretty good, and work owe me a day off (and I live about 35 mins drive away). Quite fancy taking my camera along.

Can't make the actual show as doing various child related activities.

Friday before an air show can be either very busy or very quiet. Most war bird pilots have day jobs so don't arrive until afternoon or evening.
