It's passed through. Blue sky to the west dark grey to the east. Wasn't enough rain to get the waterproofs out.

Take away the cleaners, security and the armed police, not aot of people here.

Did anyone happen to get a photo of someone sticking their head out of the top of the B-17 to watch the Rafale practice yesterday?

Grange road is only shut for air show days.

Flash bangs for the Great Warbirds team and wall of flame for Apache display.

No idea why shows book them. There are many, many better civilian display teams. Leave the Bladezzzzzzz to do their corporate rubbish. Fresh enough when they started, but incredibly stale now for years. Formula One egos in Vauxhall Corsas.

Enjoyed the TRIG team much more than the Blades even though they are just a pair. Thought the JP and Strikemaster pair were rather good too, also a nod to Richard Grace in the TF-51 Mustang, very nice display.

Anyone know what time the Rafale is due on tomorrow please? Can't be at the show but may be able to sneak out to see it depart/return Cambridge Airport if I'm lucky.

Oh, opinions on an airshow act, on an airshow discussion board aren't allowed now?

The Blades are bang average. The Royal Jordanian Falcons without the charisma or showmanship.

Also what's the bet the Sea Vixen cancels. Been to around 4 shows where it was scheduled to appear and it's gone tech! Haven't seen it since its Red Bull days! :dizzy:

Thats what makes a mockery of the rules, its either dangerous or its not, a practice is no more or less safer than a display

Indeed, surely a practice, with a pilot unfamiliar of the area is far less safe than the actual display. Still, the CAA knows best, eh?

What a fantastic day today, yet again the Rafale knocks the socks off the RAF Typhoon display in my opinion. The wind caused a few issues for the Falcons and Dragon Rapide, a few acts was juggled around for those who could handle the wind better like the Apache. That TF-51 display was stunning using all of the big sky overhead Duxford. Really sorry to hear about the Sea Vixen as that was a real highlight today
I can't wait to do it all again tomorrow

What's the Typhoon's display like when compared to last years?

Had to chuckle to myself when they announce Kirsty Murphy was on the team. It's not what you know...

Yes, obviously.

But he was stating his opinion about The Blades (whom I like for what it's worth) whereas you chose to have a go at his opinion by attempting to devalue it with sarcasm and use of the loser emoji.

It's got nothing to do with his or your opinion of The Blades, which is what was being discussed, as well you know.

It just gets rather tedious when forum members resort to needless one upmanship rather than a sensible counter argument.
