Any idea on the display line being used by the Reds and Typhoon this time?

The flying list page on the IWM website makes no mention of it (as at time of writing) unless you actually click on the image of the Voyager and then a new window opens which states Sunday only.

What a shame. It just goes to show how overstretched the Brize Norton aircraft are; they're always cancelling!

RAF wanted A400 to leave mid Sunday afternoon. Museum said no way.

It was going to be parked outside AirSpace, British Aerospace are taking over the conservation area of the hangar, which was why the disabled parking tickets sold out early. Disabled parking tickets haven't been put back on sale. Mmmmm

Nice to get some background there.

It really feels like the RAF are unwilling to make the extra effort for airshows. Maybe i'm being unfair, obviously I don't know what the A400 is needed for on the Monday; but this year, of all years, you'd think they'd be able to make it work.

I wonder how long it's said that on the image, yet the flying list still suggests the flying will be identical on both days

So there were due to be two A400M's - one on static and another flying, static one now cancelled but flypast is still going ahead as previously advertised? Is there anything else due as static only as I haven't seen any mention of a static list.

That's a shame. If the logistics could have been resolved, an A400m departure would have been a very worthy addition to the flying display.

Hope for good weather and enjoy your day!

When I came from the Royston direction for Legends, they weren't letting you turn right into the 'AAM' car park, across the traffic, as they have done for the last few years. I carried on to the traffic lights, went into the little housing estate, did a U-turn and came back out going the other way, i.e from the M11 end, to get into the AAM car park....

What time of the morning was that?

I missed Legends this year, for last years shows I came from Royston and then got in by the AAM.

If I come via the M11 I'd be heading south, and in previous years they'd divert the show traffic (via temporary signs) a junction early and send us around to come in from the Royston way, and we'd end up by the AAM as well.

Bunking off work on Friday, making use of my Duxford Membership, in the hope of seeing some arrivals/rehearsals. Hope there will be some form of action going on :-)

Thats a shame. Are Mildenhall/Lakenheath not able to spare a quick flypast or static display of some kind considering the close proximity?

So much for 'everything will be flying both days'

Very disappointed.

Still, absolutely fantastic line up, a show the IWM can be proud of.

Let's not get too gushing before the 'Oversized' Lady has sung! There's still a shed-load of stuff that can go wrong, not least the weather? Can't blame the IWM for that bit, but it was nice last weekend on the 15th of September
Still, mustn't grumble. eh? :yahoo:
