If this is correct, that is fantastic news... how embarrassing though that the Armee de l'Air have supported this airshow so much more than the RAF this year!

I think I make a fair point - The RAF will maybe match the three displays offered by the French, but it's doubtful they'll exceed it.

Brilliant news on the Rafale! Last years display was incredible. Now fingers crossed for the Belgian F-16!

Do you make this comment from an informed position of knowing what will be happening at the September BoB Airshow and the level of RAF support? or is this pure speculation?

I make the comment based on the fact that the RAF field so few displays this year that the weight of probability is that they will field 3 displays or less.

I think the absolute most they could commit would be the Typhoon, Red Arrows, Chinook, BBMF and Tutor which - while it would be great to see - is barely more thrilling than what the French are providing for the May airshow.

My point is really that the French, particularly in recent years, have been supporting British airshows in such a marvellous way, it is a shame our forces aren't supported to the extent that they are able to do the same.

Agree with your statements and the lack of RAF contributions over the past few years especially compared to when I used to go to the big airshows in the 80's and 90's. I asked as I believe the DUX BoB airshow will be one of the RAF 100 supported ones. What that means I don't know!

Is this actually on the cards or are you just hoping? Loved the show last year and will probably go again if another fast jet is booked.

More wishful thinking! As it has been a regular attendee in the past, would be a welcome return in its awesome new paint scheme.

I feel the same... Last year was so excellent but i'm not quite tempted for this year yet. One more fast jet, and i'll go all weekend I think.

2 Sea Furies and a Fury are tempting, but is there any slim chance of Berlin Express displaying, or will she be safely tucked away in the hangar until July?

It needs a CAA exemption to fly and they only last 28 day's, I believe, so it will be Legends when it is next flying.
