Well if you didn't see it you have missed it! 787 departed 16:40 is forming up with 2 Spitfires for a single pass.

too far away for me 1 mile noth of the field just saw them as they broke. Amazing thing is that I could only hear merlins! One spit was G-AIST/AR213 which I think is landing other is off to Kemble.

Me too, I saw them fly over the trees but never got that photo shot!

I'm afraid that's it for this year. It was off up to Derby for an overfly of Rolls Royce and then back to the Seattle I guess.

It is very quiet though - they state 30% quieter than a 747.

On a separate note, the MkXVI Spit (Cliff Spink's) landed at Farnborough after the flypast with the 787. Not sure if it was set to depart later.
