Every display item has to fly their display routine in front of the Flying Control Committee before displaying at the show itself. Only if it passes the criteria can the display go into the programme. That is validating and it applies to everyone regardless of who they are. Thus, if the Reds hadn't validated tonight, then they wouldn't be allowed into the programme tomorrow.
