Re: Participants?
According to Airbus' website, they will be actively participating at Farnborough 2012. If they mean active as in bringing an aircraft to display etc then good enough for me. Highly likely it will be the A380 seeing as it is a crowd-puller for the public show days. Would be nice to the A340-600 display again, even though the type is now no longer in production .

Expect 2 A380's to participate with the flying display by a Malaysian Airlines example on Monday and Tuesday (departs Wednesday), also expect an A400M flying. I also expect atleast one other Airbus airliner type on the ground (not sure on type).

Re: Participants?
Does anyone know when and if there will be a definitive list of what’s flying on a particular trade day???

Re: Participants?
Suprised nobody has said that the 2 Russian Knights Su-27's have actually confirmed now and one will be flying every day with the other on static.
Damn fine news to come back from Bodo to

I'm surprised that the F-16 is listed as flying on FLUK but not on the Official Site...

Re: Participants?
How does a mig35, Su35 and Su34 sound for star items (assuming Syria don't balls it up) on static?

That Report talks of PAK-FA being represented, I assume that'll be a mock up?
Re: Participants?
Excellent, it has turned from a very average looking show to a superb show. The Su-35,32 and Mig-35 will only be for the trade days?

Hmm, wonder what LM will do now as they are running a competition to fly on board on Tuesday!
Re: Participants?

Perhaps they could use other LM products, a C-130, F-16, or F-35!! Or a free flight in a........ Boeing 787!!!!

Re: Participants?
I don't think so.
I think the report misleads the reader into thinking they mean actual aircraft. More likely to be models on the trade stand. I could be wrong!

Re: Participants?
This press release from Russian Helicopters: http://www.rus-helicopters.ru/en/press/ ... /1618.html is just as confusing!
Farnborough 2012
Russian Helicopters, part of Russian defence industry state holding company Oboronprom and a leading global designer and manufacturer of helicopters, and producer of some of the world’s most iconic, innovative and widely operated models, will present the latest Russian helicopter models at the Farnborough International Airshow on 9-15 July 2012. Russian-made helicopters will be on display at the Oboronprom stand Е10 and Е14 in Hall 1.
The new medium multi-role Ka-62 helicopter will make its first international appearance at Farnborough 2012. Russian Helicopters will also demonstrate the new Mi-171A2 modification of the Mi-8/17 series (one of the world’s most popular helicopters), the new Mi-38 medium helicopter, the light Ansat helicopter, as well as the search & rescue modification of the Ka-32A11BC.
During Farnborough air show Russian Helicopters will hold a presentation of its new civil models – Ka-62 multipurpose intermediate helicopter, Mi-171A2 medium helicopter and Ansat light helicopter - and developments of its global after sales service network.
- obviously some of it refers to scale models or maybe mockups at the stand, but the "first international appearance" of the Ka-62 and the "demonstration" of the Mi-17 etc suggests actual aircraft to me...

Re: Participants?
I'm guessing (again) that they just mean first time a mock up of the model has been displayed as for "demonstration" they probably mean on the stand......... maybe
Re: Participants?
I guess that means we getting a display by a russian chopper hopefully on the public days as well.
