Press day
Wednesday is press day. Sadly this year we will not see anything flying of interest. Scheduled between 11am and 12pm are the Breitling Wing Walkers Stearmen, Blades Extras and Redhawks RF4's, not even a Spitfire to get excited about this year! Only upside is the show participation list should be released.
Re: Press day
Flying acts have been curtailed by WX only Blades hopefully appearing

Blimey - if thats the case then there wouldn't be any point going to the public days.

I had been told (but not yet confirmed) that the trade days in total will see 2x C-17, 2x A-380 (only on Tuesday) and 1x B-787; all will be be gone Thursday night.
Re: Press day
O you cant keep a secret!
Any trade aircraft not staying for the public days will need to depart by Thursday evening, the end of the trade show.
Public days Fri-Sun will see any holes in the static filled by other aircraft which are already booked, yes I know Friday isn't a proper public day but its being treated as one.
The halls will be shut on the public Sat+Sun, this is old news, but just to remind everyone.
Display is 2.5hrs on trade days, 3.5hrs on Friday and 5hrs on Sat and Sun

Shame really - Farnborough used to be the show to see the new and exciting. Now that show is held entirely during the week, and a rather more standard show takes its place for the weekend. I wonder why manufacturers have lost interest in letting joe public see their new kit?

'Cos Joe Public aren't likely to buy their aeroplanes.

Didn't stop them in the past though, did it?
Re: Press day
As tax and fare payers, joe certainly does buy their aeroplanes albeit indirectly.
