That poster is a joke!! I honestly can do better with the Microsoft Paint 'fat brush'.

Undoubtedly the star attraction is the F-35, or the SU-35, or the AV8B, funny how none of them are on the poster

I'm torn between RIAT and FIA this year, and may just opt to head to both!

Regarding the poster, if the wording at the top of the poster had been read "Celebrate 100 years of aviation at the all new spectacular" then you'd understand why the Harrier is in there, along with the Hurricane.

I, for one, am looking forward to the A350XWB!

I don't get the "all new" bit... I have no idea what they're trying to get at with that.

To their credit - at least the poster actually has some properly colourful aircraft on it. RIAT's posters have been much worse in recent years.

I would have to question your sanity if you picked FI over RIAT, particularly if you decided to go on one of the FI public days. :hypno:

re the poster, I note Farnborough Airshow have tweeted that they know its a "1984" Harrier and are proud to have it along with it's "son" the F-35, some 30 years younger.... So surely the monstorus freak that is the F-35 should at least feature in the poster. I don't think they get where we're coming from.....

Yay! Am so glad the A350 will be there all week! When I heard it might not be there in the weekend, I started to think, is this going to be a repeat of 2012 then? Perhaps not. This could be quite a good show, even on the public days I am starting to think. A bit of a pain they don't publish participation until a month before.

Still at least I have the Duxford D Day show and Cosford show to keep me going until they publish participation.

Wow an ME262 - shame as it'll be hard to see at FIA.

Well I said in 2012 that the only way I would be pulled back to Farnborough was if something special happened and we seem to have that now. I still worry that something will go wrong at the last minute (aka Russian Knights) but with the Harrier being Spanish and the F-35 being American I doubt there will be any issues.

Is the Harrier/F-35 display only for public days or will they perform on trade days? I still don't want to go through the hassle of a public day again but it looks like I may have to.

Being one of those that has very much poo-pooed the public weekend llooks like FIA have a couple of real coups! I was only planning on visiting Tuesday and maybe Wednesday. Do trade tickets still work at the weekend like they used to??
One small thing to remember is that all aircraft have to validate their display, generally the week before, but sometimes in the evenings show week so the likes of the Me262 are likely to arrive wed/thurs of show week at the latest.
