F-16 was a no show again today, apparently both tech! Rumour of another arriving. A330NEO demo machine and the Baltic A220 both departed tonight.

I think I must go to a different show to everybody else. I went today and thought it was pretty good.

I thought the flying was good, not brilliant but OK. The LM100 was a bit of a disappointment as it's display was about 1/2 the duration and 1/2 the aerobatics of when I saw it in validation. Still good but somebody seems to have held it back for the live show. I like seeing big airliners being thrown around and generally within the confines of the airfield. The A350 100 and A330 Neo were both very good IMHO. The 727 water drop is a sight worthy of any show. The static is pretty much the same format as recent years although I felt there more ability to move in a straight line than the last few shows but that's a lot of different airframes. Take away the French involvement and it would be just as good as Fairford for me although obviously much shorter. With the French RIAT wins hands down.

The herk did the full display on Monday, we are still waiting for the full 727 display.

I'm just up the road in Guildford and was not going to bother but , having just seen a video of the Herc doing a full loop, perhaps I should get over there.

I've had a great day at FIA today, but highlights for me was the LM100/C-130 and the F16. That F16 takeoff was absolutely incredible!

Afraid no official Livestream of the whole flying display this year - I emailed them to check and they confirmed.

Airbus are doing a Livestream every day of the show... I don't know if they will include any other displays over the weekend.

The website isn't very clear on a lot of things IMO. Plus it's hard to believe what it says when they have the Herc down as a 'Fighter Plane', the Tornado as a 'Historic Military Plane' (I know sadly this will soon be true but not yet!) and they think the Wasp is capable of 287mph :dizzy:

I know - the website is absolutely hopeless, and the 'app' isn't much better.
From what I'm reading however it looks like just about everything that might have been worth going to see has already left! What a waste of money my Friday ticket appears to be! :tongue2:
