Has traffic improved over recent years?

Post by simonp »

Living in Staffordshire, Cosford is definitely handy for a visit but I've not been since I got stuck in traffic on the M54 for several hours a few years ago.

Have things improved at all? I'm afraid I'm not so devoted that I want to be there at 7am ;(

Was that the same year the Vulcan displayed? If so, it will most likely be the same this year, due to the Vulcan appearance.

You need to be on base by about 1000 - 1030.

The problem with traffic a few years ago was a mix of great weather, the Vulcan effect and the highways agency routing the traffic off of the motorway and in via the minor roads (I was stuck in that for 5 hours!).
I believe the traffic problems into the airshow last year were a lot better however getting out was still a nightmare!

I think i got lucky the day I went a few years ago - as dont recall quein much to get in (maybe 20 minutes?)

And I did leave well before the end to be fair.

The one answer is to have the show over 2 days ... just wish they could.
