Hi,
I'm thinking of going to the air show for the first time and have a couple of questions:
1. Do many of the aircraft take off and land from Cosford and if so which ones?
2. What are the conditions like for photography? Are there good photo opportunities. I notice from Google maps that it looks as though you are facing into the sun if it's a nice day?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
Couple of questions
Re: Couple of questions
As a Rule of Thumb, any fast jet aircraft fly into and out of display without landing. Which this year includes Vulcan, Red Arrows, Typhoon, Canberra & Hunter. Smaller and slower aircraft operate from Cosford incluing this year the Belgian Red Devils, BBMF, Tucano and the Great War Team of 9 x WW1 replicas various.
The crowdline faces south and it is the British Summer. Therefore a 8/8 blue sky can be problematic for photography but said days are relatively rare in the UK and not applicable this coming weekend. There are many examples of First Class Aviation photography that have been captured at the RAF Cosford Air Show.
