The Winner of the Hartree Memorial Trophy

Was the Swiss Hornet Display

from Cosford facebook page
Some of you will have heard during the commentary, that at this year's RAF Cosford Air Show we have introduced the 'Hartree Memorial Trophy'. The trophy will be a lasting memorial to Wing Commander (Ret'd) Bill Hartree who passed away last year. Bill had been the Flying Display Director for more than a decade at RAF Cosford and his organisational skills were sorely missed in the run-up to the 2015 display.

The Hartree Memorial Trophy will be awarded each year for the most accurate, safe and polished flying display at the RAF Cosford Air Show. This year, members of the Flying Control Committee voted Captain Julien 'Teddy' Meister of the SWISS HORNET DISPLAY TEAM the winner of the award. The award was presented by Group Captain Mark Manwaring, chairman of the Flying Control Committee, on Sunday evening at RAF Cosford. Congratulations Teddy!

It was an extremely tough decision for the Flying Control Committee to make, with so many excellent displays. But Teddy was chosen as the winner for 2015, congratulations!

And the trophy presentation...
