With the 2015 show selling out of standard admission tickets weeks before the show took place and having been voted ‘Best Event of the Year’ in Shropshire by the public, the organisers of the show are encouraging people to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.

As an incentive to purchase tickets early, the organisers are offering ‘Early bird’ ticket pricing. Up until Wednesday 23rd March tickets to the RAF Cosford Air Show 2016 will be priced at £22.00 per adult with accompanied under 16’s entering free of charge. After this date adult tickets will be priced at £25.00 each.

Carrying on from the success of the 2015 show the RAF Cosford Air Show 2016 will once again be Advance Ticket Only with no tickets being available to purchase on the gate. This step has greatly improved entry on to the showground giving people a swifter and more efficient start to their day.

Classic airforce meteor fits the bill nicely. Would be nice to have some sort of flypast starting with meteor ending with the typhoon to showcase the advances in the jet engine.

Once again, lovely poster! Looking forward to lots of classic jets with the speed theme and international training aircraft for the other theme too.

Hopefully the evolution of the jet engine theme will mean more fast jets like the excellent 2015 show.I just hope the show doesn't take a step back too far and have too many training aircraft and classic jets.

I'm hoping the hunters will be back up in the air by then. For me that's the perfect classic jet.

I don't think there is a Tutor display in 2016 but there will be some Cosford based Tutors on static.Part of the training theme but I suppose the 2016 poster is a bit misleading.

Thanks for the interesting comments. Plenty of work going on behind scenes by all those in the Air Show Office and we hope to have some more news on the aircraft front confirmed by Christmas.

Re my Typhoon/Tutor comment: I have done some research and don't think it would be possible as the tutors top speed is around 185kts and this year's typh/spit synchro was flown at around 200/250 kts which is in the lower envelope of the speed it can fly.

Would have been good to see though!

Will be interesting to see what their display is like. I'm a big fan of the "whistlin' turkey leg".

Photographing those outside, especially in conditions like we had for the TSR2, would be worth the journey for me.

Is the 707 actually on display in the museum any more? Thought it's spot was nicked by the EAP?

If so, hell of a catch for a unique aircraft that's not even publicly viewable at the moment! Good to see Cosford finally make good use of the excellent museum on site.

A lot of the Cosford shows have featured museum a/c over the years (not enough admittedly and more could have been done- it still stings that the last chance to see all 3 v-bombers together was never taken up)

This is great news, just a shame I'll probably be in Scandinavia over the weekend..
