Which one? They have at least three! (Granted, they're probably not going to cut the NF14 down from the rafters....)

In stature, grace and hue,
In shadowy silent distance grew the iceberg too....

That would be nice to see. I don't think I have ever seen a Shakelton, even if its just the cockpit section.

News seems very slow recently, however I guess it will move faster when military start to confirm. So far I am really excited for the static. I just am not sure how I am going to do the static, the museum to see the Vulcan, Lincoln and Belfast AND see the airshow lol.

Not sure where you're based mate, but there's a complete one at Coventry airport (taxiworthy), and a static one at the Manchester museum of science and Industry. If youre going to Cosford, at least one of those should be within reach of you.

Wonderful machines.

There is also a MR.Mk.3 Phase 3 (complete with turbojet engines) at Newark Air Museum which is regularly open to explore. Possibly your best bet if you want to get a close look.

They are planning on returning WR963 to the skies sometime very soon, fingers crossed as that would be superb!

Over in Northern Ireland. Might have actually seen one in Manchester as I've been to the Science and Industry museum however that would have been the 80s as a child. Hoping to take some time and work my way up through England next year doing museum's. Only one I've gotten to since getting back into Aviation and airshows in 2010 after a long break was Hendon.

As it doesn't seem to be mentioned in the FAQ, are smaller two/three step stepladders allowed when positioned back from the crowd line? Tents/gazebos are the only things I can see mentioned.

I think you'll be fine, but it's worth bearing in mind the crowd line area does get very congested and the airfield isn't that big so you may find yourself having to do a bit of manoeuvring.

Plenty of aircraft in the museum at Cosford parked near the hangar doors that could be brought out. How about the Kestrel? Also apparently since the Prestwick Pioneer was brought back from Hendon, it is in a hangar on the airfield, so could easily join the line-up?

For posterity:

A damn fine machine. I've not seen it for years, so I look forward to that.

It's always nice to see Duxford warbirds away from Duxford. Not in a bad way, just that such pedigree should be shared around the country as much as possible, IMO. For those who haven't the funds or knowledge to make it to Cambridge year on year.

Maybe if more shows booked it/them you would. If you want to see something in particular you will have to make the effort.

It is a fantastic addition to the line up
