Is there usually a set day for announcements, like RIAT is (Thursdays) or is it just when Cosford get confirmations and are able to release news regardless of day?

I'm guessing its more about when they receive official confirmation more than 'when they feel like it'

Well it could be any cricketing country as none of them have attended Cosford as far as I can remember?
So a New Zealand Herc on static?

True, except for the green heart... Kind of suggests Pakistan, Bangladesh or India seeing as Ireland have attended before.
Having said that, the Afghans do like the sound of leather on willow....
Or maybe they have just bowled us a googly! Either way, I'm stumped.

Australia are useless at cricket so I don't see the connection.

In regards to the Green Heart.
Pakistan has Shogran Valley, which is known as 'The Green Heart of Northern Pakistan'
India has Green Heart Health Products.
I don't think a Green Heart for a health company would be connected to an airshow lol Though both are reaching the limits of logic considerably.

A tremendous showing as recently (!) as 2005.
A repeat would be most welcome, but they're ruled out here as we're looking for a debutant. Anything from a cricketing nation would be very welcome!

My childhood reading suggests they fear the Clicky-Ba, though.

Fair enough, I wasn't there, I think the Herc may have pitched up at Volkel, grey matter ain't what it used to be!

I'll also go for Australia, more close connections with the UK, and aren't there sporting colours green and gold. I have a feeling it's something that will be staying for Riat.

To stay for RIAT would require whatever it is to stay up here for the best part of six weeks. That's a very long time.

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2018 - [Main Topic]
If it is Australia I will be disappointed. Cosford's own website states the following 'RAF100 will be the sole theme for the flying display at the RAF Cosford Air Show 2018.' I know the RAAF clearly has strong connections to the RAF but looking at their current aircraft I am struggling to see what they can bring which fits in with that promise.
