It would be brilliant if RIAT could set up a role demo for the RIAT 'sky Guardian' theme.
Just get the normal solo displays and put them together for one weekend

Interesting Facebook rumour which I saw a few days ago on an avaition chatroup which I belong to: apparently the Viggen has been booked to appear at RIAT next year. This may be about as reliable as most Bookface rumours, but just thought I'd share as it would obviously be fantastic news if true.

Its only September ! I doubt anything has been booked for RIAT 2013 as of yet However i had a message from one of the RIAT organisers a week before RIAT and they said they were is discussions with the US Navy Blue Angles with regards to appearing at Fairford in 2013 but as you can see via there 2013 show schedule they are already booked so that is a no show

Crazy thing is i have heard a simular thing, but nothing is firm but they are keen to come to the UK.

Hmmm, not sure you're the kind of thing to interest most enthusiasts. Perhaps at smaller shows, but I don't think you have enough presence for the long display line at Fairford

Shame. I just hope lots of other tasty aircraft triangulate to Fairford next summer. Some thrust vectoring wouldn't go amiss either...

If they have cancellations already, this could be a protracted build up to the show. They need to set square and fair what they want for the line up, put relevant participants in each sector, maybe even add Graph Zeppelin to the ops team, he has the X & Y factor for attraction. The big delta is a must of course, you can't beta!

Don't think we'll see the Algebrans though, with their human rights history.

Can we please have a Reds/XH558 formation flyby,know its done on FIA on opening day,but Iam always doing Fairford departures and miss it,plus if next year is the last season for XH558 will be a fitting finale.
