Just sorted that our for you (you're welcome  )

Great to see the Harrier turned in to a two ship display, very welcome surprise.

And yet the actual update clearly says :
We're also very pleased to welcome back the Royal Norwegian Air Force with an F-16 from No. 331 Squadron on static display.

An -- singular.

"14 March 2019

Following a trip to Spain by our Head of Air Operations, we can confirm that a second Spanish Navy EAV-8B Harrier will be flying at RIAT 2019! This pairs display is sure to delight Harrier fans on all three days of the show. We're also very pleased to welcome back the Royal Norwegian Air Force with two F-16s from No. 331 Squadron on static display."

Looks like a pair of F-16s.

F-16s are always welcome. It wouldn't be RIAT without them.

Spanish Harriers... A pair you say... bae.
Does this mean three airframes to include a spare/static? Or is it actually two, and both will be the display? Either way... mustn't grumble... Rejoice at this news...

Now... what time shall I set off for Northolt...

At least 2 flying. Most countries send a spare display aircraft don't they? But not usually viewable unless the West end 'live' static park thingy happens again this year (crosses fingers).

Indeed. Back in the golden era you'd pretty much always get 3 or 4 of each fighter type - 1 flyer, 1 spare and at least 1 static. Those were the days!

Was that response really necessary?

For a start, RIAT haven't sent an email specifically for the F-16s..

Every time I've seen them turn up, whether at IAT 94 with the old Matadors or at Waddo or Yeovilton with the EAV-8Bs there has been a Citation II in tow.

They also have a Citation VII which I've not seen yet, so that would be good.

Not my pictures, usual copyrights etc etc.
