When I was camping there last year I woke up early around 6.30 am and cars were starting to arrive on the park and view field then.Glad that it is still £15 per person, they have obviously decided against increasing the price in the end. That might just have swung it now for me where I will stay this year.
Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
May see some of you there To say hello will be camping again this year blue skies!

Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
Can anyone tell me if they charge on the Friday to just go in and have a look?
I'm looking to go to Rhymes Farm on the Sunday, after going in to the show itself on the Saturday, so want to maybe have a quick look on the Friday to see what's what, and get the route in my head.
Looks like a great place to view from anyway!

Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
Hi, how easy is it to walk from Rhymes Farm into the Airshow? I have watched the display from Rhymes for the last 3 years and this year I am thinking of camping and going in to the show on the Sat. I wont have transport and wondered if its possible to walk without too much hassle. Cheers, Steve.

Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
If the gates are open you may be able to walk straight across the runway if not it is a longish walk, either way you will still have to walk all the way back round.
Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
I know this has probably been asked and answered before, but can I just turn up on, say the wednesday at Rhymes, and camp from then until the monday? My usual 'crashpad' is unavailable to me this year, so I'm thinking of camping, but as it's a bit last minute, probably can't get into any of the really close sites. I'll also probably be 'FRIAT'-ing again, so need to be within walking distance - any and all suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers

Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
That's the only way you can do it at Rhymes.

Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
Any tips on driving to Rhymes Barn on show days as I imagine that the traffic in the area will be dreadful and are there any one ways systems etc that make it hard to drive there? Thanks

Depends on which direction you are coming from. If you drive through Lechlade there will probably be jams so go early enough to avoid them. When you get to the turn to go to the show just tell th police you want to go straight on to Fairford they should let you through and it should be clear from there.

Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
Adults are £15 per night but is there a charge for children?
Re: Rhymes Barn campsite
Thanks for the info chaps, but on further investigation I discovered the 'flyby' camping site, and they still had a pitch available, so I've booked that. Anyone else going to be in there, or will I be all on my lonesome!
